Black Jack Lessons

[ English ]

Blackjack is one of the more popular games bet on in casinos. Black jack is also known as "twenty one" or Chemin de Fer. The game is a combination of chance and skills combined with choices. The card game has changed over a set amount of time. Players have specialized in certain skills like "card card counting," which allows them to shift the edge in the game in their direction. The card game has been around since the 1700s. References can be found in historical documents to a game known as "vingt-et-un," which means twenty one in French, and is thought of as the precursor to black jack.

The card game was originally not very well-liked in the US. This caused the betting houses attempting a variety of features like offering a reward like a 10-to-1 payout, if the player had a "black" jack and an ace of spades. The jack could be either clubs or spades. After the card game got popular, the reward payout soon vanished from the rules.

Any hand which reaches a value of 21 is deemed a winner. The total should not go beyond twenty-one, if it does the hand is said to be "bust." The aim of every player is to defeat the house. If both the blackjack player and the casino have an identical score, it’s referred to as a "push," with not either the black jack player or the casino winning the hand.
